Is there a better expression than “stuff your eyes with wonder”? It’s so powerful, especially since I like stuffing my face with delicious treats. It makes me feel like I could pull amazing images from my travels and stuff them into my eyeballs to digest later.
I feel like eating and traveling have a lot in common. You need food to survive, it brings you pleasure, and you can share it with your friends.
I feel the same way about travel. Maybe you won’t die if you don’t go on vacation, but I would definitely feel less alive.
Maybe it’s a kind of intense to live your life as if you’ll “drop dead in 10 seconds” but perhaps to be really living life, we need to crawl to the boundary of our own experience and look over the cliff. It’s a good idea to challenge yourself, to stretch your limits. A lot of the most fun you can have lingers on the edge of your comfort zone.
The world has so much to offer and it would be such a shame to only see a tiny part of it. If you travel you can see vibrant cultures, try different foods, learn other languages, meet new people and maybe discover something about yourself at the same time.
You can make travel a priority, and you can see wonderful things without going to far from home. It depends on what is important to you. The definition of fantastic means outside of reality. That sounds appealing to me, to spend my time doing things that differ from the norms of “reality”. Reality is what you make it, and I am going to make sure mine is full of fantastic adventures.
